CALCIUM AMMONIUM NITRATE

Calcium Ammonium Nitrate, commonly known as CAN is a derivative of ammonium nitrate and is used as a chemical fertilizer. It has 70-80% of ammonium nitrate and 20-30% of calcium carbonate. It is a granulated form of fertilizer that supplies nitrogen to plants.
It is water soluble and ideal for fertigation. It is highly beneficial for plants as it enriches the soil with two types of nitrogen i.e. fast acting nitrate-nitrogen and long lasting ammonic nitrogen. It generally mixes well with other products except for superphosphate and magnesium oxide.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • It is a hygroscopic product and requires less moisture to be absorbed by the plants.
  • It can be applied to all crops in any season.
  • It assists in photosynthesis.
  • The addition of calcium helps improve fruit quality and prolong the storage life.
  • As it’s neutral, it helps neutralize acidity in the soil.
  • It is extremely affordable in comparison to other fertilizers.
  • Volatilization of nitrogen from CAN is negligible.
